Breanne's Music Studio - Viola and Violin Lessons

"Well rounded musicians are the best!" Breanne Thomas

I have learned, over the years, that every string method and pedagogue has great teaching points to offer students. Therefore, I don't side with only one method. I bring the strongest teaching points of every method I study into my studio.

I use the Suzuki Method to begin young string students (age 3+). Then I transition students into the Traditional Method a few years later (reading music) and maintain a Suzuki Emphasis. I use Galamian Technique for posture and bowing.

I'm always working hard to take what my students know to the next level and to find ways that make learning a string instrument easy and enjoyable! I am continuously researching the in's and out's of music education methods, how children learn, and how to present the same concept to all ages on all levels.

Music Education Facts
It is proven that giving your child the gift of musical education helps their social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Also, music is one of the few activities where brain integration occurs which helps children with learning, memorizing, reading problems, spelling problems, ADD, ADHD, coordination issues, dyslexia, visual processing issues, and auditory processing issues. Lastly, music provides another way for children to bond with family and encourages children to engage in meaningful and productive activities.
