Why should you join the Ogden Valley Business Association? 
The OVBA is dedicated to the community and businesses of Ogden Valley, and it is the first and only local business organization for our area. The OVBA:
- Provides an information exchange forum for issues that affect businesses in the Valley.
- Publishes the Upper Ogden Valley Area Map/Adventure Guide and Ogden Valley Phone Book each year.
- Promotes loyalty to our businesses and enables effective advertising at reduced rates for the group in OVBA publications and others, including the Ski Utah Planner and Web Site.
- Provides unique opportunities to network and form marketing alliances with other business owners through special committees, the e-mail distribution lists, Web Site, meetings and events.
- Maintains this Web Site, www.ovba.org , which is constantly being improved and promoted to encourage visits by potential customers with community content and Special Offers from member businesses, and gives your business global and local exposure. Our Press Release Blog contains articles about members (written by Weber State University Interns), general meetings and events. Other Web Sites used in various marketing efforts include www.ogdenvalley.travel (mobile site for 2-D tags), and www.utahfallcolors.com. Our popular Ogden Valley Travel and Recreation Blog, our Leaf Peepers Blog, and our 360° of Natural Adventure Facebook page also bring traffic to our web sites.
Maintains a community calendar allowing members to submit events which will also appear on partner calendars such as Ogden City, Ogden CVB, and Weber County. This central calendar allows businesses to plan and better maximize public attendance at their events. - Sends an e-mail to subscribed customers twice per month with members' Special Offers and Events (which are also listed on the home page and travel sites). Sends an e-mail periodically to subscribers to the Winter Powder Alert and The Fall Color Alert.
- Offers a Mailing List Subscription Service with nearly 300 mailing addresses per month from inquires for Ogden Valley tourism information on two tourism web sites, Go-Utah.com and Utah.com. These inquires receive a copy of the Ogden Valley Adventure Guide or Map and Fall Color brochure. OVBA members may receive a monthly e-mail with the postal mailing addresses in order to send detailed information about their business directly to these folks. In addition, OVBA Members may provide their own advertising piece to include with our mailings to these contacts and inquiries on this web site.
- Offers a Excel spreadsheet of Ogden Valley Residential Mailing Addresses and phone numbers for personalized direct mailings.
- Sends out a Welcome Kit to newcomers to the Valley upon request, containing items from your business.
- Provides a Media Guide to give outside publications and media personal a central source for Ogden Valley information.
- Writes Press Releases for submittal to local and nationwide publications.
- Seeks and obtains grants for expanded marketing campaigns, such as the Fall Color Campaign, to bring more travelers to our area. We developed the "360 degrees of Natural Adventure" (above) slogan and logo for destination marketing.
- Provides discounted services from OVBA Members to OVBA Members, including the OVBA Discount Card to Members for discounts from other Members.
- Needs YOUR unique viewpoint, experience and insight on all issues.
Membership Types
A General Member is defined as a sole proprietorship, association, corporation, limited liability company, partnership or estate having its principal place of business within Ogden Valley, and in compliance with state and local licensing laws and regulations, or an individual owning, employed by, or otherwise associated as an independent contractor, with a sole proprietorship, association, corporation, limited liability company, partnership or estate having its principal place of business within Ogden Valley, and in compliance with state and local licensing laws and regulations.
An Affiliate Member is any individual, association, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or estate owning property in the Ogden Valley, as recorded with the Weber County Recorder.
A Friend of the OVBA is any individual, association, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or estate having an interest in the objectives of the organization and in compliance with state and local licensing laws and regulations may join as a member upon invitation for application by the Board, and upon Board approval of the completed application.
Dues
General Member: $150 per year, with a $25 one-time setup fee. This includes voting rights, a free web page on this web site, a hyperlink to your own web site, and a User ID and password to the "Member Login Area." You may also arrange to be linked from additional business categories for $20 per year. Additional business pages are $50 per year and include a free a hyperlink to your other business' web site. Additional content pages are $20 per year, with more content pages at $10 per year each. Linked PDF pages are $20 per year, with two more additional pages at $10 per year (up to 8 total content and/or PDF pages).
